Project Golf

Project Golf was founded with a mission to advocate for the integrity of golf as a therapeutic and powerful tool for those in need, and is committed to expanding access to the game for Active Duty Military, Reserves, National Guard, Veterans, First Responders, underserved youth, and newcomers to golf. By removing barriers, they create opportunities for individuals to experience the community, confidence, and personal growth that golf can provide.

At the center of Project Golf’s mission is the belief that the game can positively impact mental and physical well-being while fostering meaningful human connection. Through supportive programming, all participants receive high-quality instruction to build confidence and encourage long-term involvement in the game. The organization also helps individuals feel comfortable engaging with local golf facilities and becoming part of the broader golf community, something daunting to many.

Led by golfers who have personally experienced the community and life lessons the sport can offer, Project Golf continues to create environments where every participant can learn, compete, and grow together. Having met with their team firsthand, it’s clear the passion and care they bring to every program is what truly sets them apart. Their programming focuses not only on skill development but also on creating a sense of belonging and opportunity through the game. Jimmy Dixon, a US Army veteran, says “I came for the golf. I stayed because it gave me something I didn’t realize I was missing.”

In 2026 alone, Project Golf has already made a significant impact, raising more than $125,000, delivering 36 programs, providing 480 hours of PGA instruction, and positively impacting 142 lives. They offer daily camps, weekly events, and through its continued efforts, Project Golf remains dedicated to using the game as an agency for connection, healing, and opportunity.
